Resolve complaints: Ombudsman sets 15-day deadline  

ISLAMABAD: The federal ombudsman has directed all federal government departments to resolve public complaints within 15 days under the new complaints management system. The directives were issued by Senior Adviser and Grievance Commissioner for Overseas Pakistanis Hafiz Ahsaan Ahmad Khokhar on the advice of Federal Ombudsman Pakistan Salman Faruqui, said a press release issued on Sunday. Khokar said under the new complaint management system, public complaint cells have been established in all federal government departments. The statement also, said senior officials have been posted in these cells by their respective competent authorities as focal persons and public grievance officers for resolution of complaints. Khokar also said that in case the government departments fail to respond to the complaints in 15 days then the complainant would have a right to file the complaint with the federal ombudsman’s secretariat.
