Country's premier MMA promotion will hold its fifth event on January 27 in Lahore

KARACHI:
Country's premier Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotion Fighting Alliance (FA) will hold its fifth event on January 27 in Lahore, The Express Tribune has learned.

The FA 5 fight card will have 12 bouts featuring the very best of professional and amateur MMA fighters from all over Pakistan.

The Fighting Alliance 4, held on August 27 at Lahore's WAPDA Stadium, had attracted a large crowd and was deemed a resounding success.


Fighting Alliance is a brainchild of Mixed Martial Arts Pakistan (Pak MMA), founded in 2007 by Bashir Ahmad and musician Mahmood Rahman among other people.

The organisation holds multiple events every year and invites MMA gyms to pit their fighters against one another.

Islamabad's Team Fight Fortress, Lahore's Synergy, Karachi's 3GMMA and Gujar Khan's Pakido are among the main teams that take active part in Fighting Alliance events.
