Baseball: WAPDA, Army register wins

On fourth day, opening match will be played between WAPDA and Police

KARACHI: WAPDA and Army registered wins on the third day of the 22nd Bahria National Baseball Championship at the Aashiq Hussain Baseball Stadium in Bahria Town, Lahore yesterday.

In the first match, Army defeated Police 10-0 as Arsalan Jamshed, Faqeer Hussain, Zafar Khan and Imtiaz Qureshi scored two runs each, while Arshad Khan and Hidayat Ullah contributed with a run apiece.

Later on, WAPDA defeated Punjab 15-0 as Sumair Zawar, Waseem Ahmed, Zaheer Bashir, Zubair Nawaz, Waqas Ismail and Fazal Khan score two runs each, with Adnan Butt, Hafiz Imran and Zakir Afridi chipping in with solitary runs of their own.

Punjab collect twin wins

On the fourth day, the opening match will be played between WAPDA and Police.
