Punjab versus Balochistan

If a person is selected as the leader of a state or province, then it becomes his responsibility to be accountable

Letter November 26, 2016

TURBAT: A nation will surely develop if its leaders remain proactive and show accountability to its citizens. Japan is a quintessential example; the country was built up from a wretched state to a developed state. The mystery behind Japan’s prosperity was none other than the unity of the residents of Japan and the accountability of the leaders of Japan. Similarly, the Government of Punjab is very active to its obligations. Tremendous changes have come about in Punjab, thanks to its leadership.

However, if we compare Balochistan with Punjab, we can easily differentiate between these two provinces of the same country. We arrive at the conclusion that the conditions of Balochistan are much worse than Punjab. This is because of the laziness of the leaders of Balochistan. The recent three horrible suicide attacks in Balochistan further evidence the incompetence of the government and leadership of the province. If a person is selected as the leader of a state or province, then it becomes his responsibility to be accountable to its people.
