PESHAWAR: A woman and her alleged companion were gunned down in the name of honour in the Jehangirabad area of Peshawar late Wednesday night. According to the police, the woman’s companion entered her house around midnight to meet her, when her father shot both of them with his pistol. The woman was married but her husband was in prison. The police apprehended the accused with the pistol and has been registered in a double murder case. However, SP Cantt Imran Malik told The Express Tribune that technically it could not be called an honour killing, as it was not planned. The SP also added that a double murder case has been registered with police as the complainant.
