LOS ANGELES: Actor Emma Stone admits she was once jealous of her close friend Jennifer Lawrence’s early success before they became friends. She feared she would never find work again because the Hunger Games actor was so talented.
“Jennifer may not even know this but there was definitely a time early on when I was like, ‘Oh hey, my ego is going nuts. She is so great and vibrant and talented…I’ll never work again. Goodbye yellow brick road’,” Stone said. “Then I calmed myself down and remembered we are completely different and there is room for everyone, even if it is an industry that doesn’t really seem to support the idea up front.”
The 26-year-old star praised Lawrence for always being there for her during tough times. “We both really do love each other and care about each other as people, beyond being actors. I support her completely when it comes to work and I feel the same from her, but I know we would be friends even if we did not do the same job,” Stone added.
Stone feels the fact that they both love acting brought them closer. “I love my job. I don’t know what I would be without acting. So if there is someone who loves the same thing, it should bring us closer. But it depends on how that person is and Lawrence is so normal and lovely.”
Meanwhile, Lawrence and Stone have a good friendship with singer Adele and the group recently enjoyed a night out on the town.
