Referring to a recent report submitted by a non-governmental organisation in the Senate Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control last month about drugs being used in schools, the minister said there was no truth to it. Terming the report as ‘misleading’, Chaudhry said that the government rejects the facts and figures provided by the NGO.
While conceding that the ministry had launched an investigation in the 422 schools which the Federal Directorate of Education runs in the capital, the minister said that they found no drugs or narcotics being used on campuses.
