Last rites: Slain FC troops, cop laid to rest  

The four were killed a day earlier in an attack by unidentified motorcyclists at the Fatima Jinnah Road

QUETTA: Funeral prayers were offered on Sunday for the three slain Frontier Corps troops at the FC headquarters in Quetta as well as the traffic police constable in the border town of Chaman. The four were killed a day earlier in an attack by unidentified motorcyclists at the Fatima Jinnah Road. Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Aamir Riaz, Inspector General FC Major General Sher Afgun, Chief Secretary Balochistan, IG Police Balochistan, Ahsan Mehboob and other officials attended the funeral prayer of the FC soldiers. The bodies of all the three FC personnel were dispatched to their native towns and villages after the funeral prayers. Constable Shah Wali’s body was sent to his native village Killi Taki, on the outskirts of Chaman where his funeral was held.
