The star is now working on a forthcoming project titled Chasm e Num, aimed at challenging the society's pre-conceived notions about visually-impaired individuals.
Talking to The Express Tribune, Ahsan revealed the film is being produced to mark the World Disability Day.
“Most of the people are not even aware that December 3 is World Disability Day. Through this film, I want to highlight the importance of this day and change their perception towards the blind.”

The Udaari actor said Chashme Num is a short romantic film revolving around two-visually impaired individuals.
“I really wanted to do something for the underprivileged, and came up with this idea. This film will change the way you think about these people. It’s a 40-minute love story,” Ahsan said.
"I want to work for humanity as a responsible citizen, which is why I opt for projects that have a social cause attached to them."
The film stars Ahsan Khan, alongside Jasim Khan and Amar Khan. Amanat Ali has sung the film's title song, Naina.

Chashm e Num will be submitted to a number of film festivals, and will also be aired on TV.
