MEPCO initiated a campaign against power thieves as the utility had been facing line losses in different areas

MULTAN: Monitoring and surveillance teams of the Multan Electric Supply Company imposed a Rs107,000 fine on 42 power thieves in October. A MEPCO hand out issued on Friday stated the crackdown against electricity stealers was launched in various areas including Nawan Sher, Industrial State, Hassan Parwana, Ghalla Mandi and Mumtazabad. It added those involved in power pilferage were nabbed.
