Presidential candidate Ghaziuddin Babar had moved the court against the cooperative department for declaring him ineligible to contest the society’s election. The rival candidate, Mian Abdul Sattar, had challenged the eligibility of Babar, alleging the presidential candidate and his father had misappropriated funds of the society.
He claimed the petitioner’s father signed different projects with the society and thus did not meet the election rules of the society. The petitioner’s counsel refuted the allegations and argued that all projects singed between the society and the plaintiff’s father stood accomplished.
He asked the court to set aside the impugned decision of the registrar cooperative.
