During the hearing of the petition filed by Brohi’s wife Samina, the respondents of the case claimed that he was not detained in the Malir District Jail nor anywhere else and he has gone into hiding voluntarily.
Samina had filed an application in court, saying that DSP Bahadur Ali has her husband detained somewhere in New Town. As a reward for detaining her husband, Ali was promoted, she maintained.
According to the police, the accused was arrested from Gadap Town and drugs were seized from his car.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court bench, comprising Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany and Justice Amir Hani Muslim, dismissed the state’s appeal against Brohi being granted bail.
The state had moved the apex court, claiming that Brohi was granted bail in a hurry and so it should be cancelled.
