He also expressed his full cooperation and assistance in the eradication of corruption between the two countries in meeting with Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhry. The meeting was also attended by Urumqi’s mayor and leaders of the Central Commission for Discipline and Inspection.
China, Pakistan ink MoU to tackle corruption
Chaudhry said that Pakistan and China are time-tested friends. He said that NAB is Pakistan’s apex anti-corruption organization which is committed to eradicating corruption with professionalism and transparency. He told the governor that NAB is a complaint driven organisation which was established to eradicate corruption.
During the meeting the chairman also said that 2014 was the year of re-invigoration of NAB. He added that NAB has now been rejuvenated after taking various innovative steps. He said that due to the bureau’s efforts PILDAT, Transparency International, Mishal and World Economic Forum have appreciated its performance.

The governor reiterated that China attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan. He also lauded Pakistan’s efforts to eradicate corruption through NAB, under the leadership of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry.
