KARACHI: World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Flyweight champion, Pakistan’s Muhammad Waseem is all set to face Philippines’ Giemel Magramo on November 27 and will land in South Korea on November 17, revealed his agent Andy Kim yesterday.
Waseem, who won the silver flyweight crown in just his fourth professional fight, has enjoyed a stellar career since becoming a professional boxer in 2015 and Kim is certain the 29-year-old will give a tough fight to a better-ranked opponent in Magramo.
“Waseem is not going to have any problems winning this fight,” a confident Kim told The Express Tribune. “He has been in the best form and has been training extremely hard.”

Kim further revealed that Waseem is ninth in the WBC rankings and he plans to challenge Román “Chocolatito” Gonzalez for the WBC Super Flyweight crown and therefore needs to build his profile before taking on the reigning world champion.
Magramo, who is ranked 15th in the world and is undefeated in WBC bouts having won all of his 17 bouts, fits the bill and despite the Filipino having knocked out his opponents 13 times out of 17, Kim believes it will be Waseem knocking Magramo out this time.

“The fight against Magramo will certainly be a battle but we will most likely see Waseem knocking him out in the sixth or seventh round,” he said.
