Former Pakistan T20I captain Shahid Afridi produced a sublime bowling performance in his second match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in Dhaka on Thursday.

The 36-year-old, who also bowled brilliantly in his first match of the T20 league yesterday against Shoaib Malik’s Chittagong Vikings and finished with figures of 1-12 in four overs, was the pick of the bowler for Rangpur Riders once again.

Shahid Afridi no longer on PCB’s payroll

Afridi, who is yet to represent the Men in Green in any international match since the World T20 earlier this year, picked four wickets and gave away just 12 runs in his three overs, as Khulna Titans were bowled out for just 44 runs inside 11 overs.

Afridi was well supported by Arafat Sunny, who claimed three wickets but even more impressively didn’t give away even a single run in his 2.4 overs to finish with scarcely believable figures of 3-0.

All-rounder Shuvagata Hom was the only player who managed to enter double figures for Riders, as he finished with the top score of 12.

MJSid | 7 years ago | Reply A team that plays on the streets in Karachi at any random neighborhood has probably a higher standard of batting than these BPL teams. Arafat Sunny taking 3 wickets in 3 overs and not giving any runs at all tells you how "strong" the opposition was.
