According to sources, Sheikh was extremely vocal about the issue, saying BOG members often missed out on foreign tours while PCB officials from various other departments continued to enjoy such benefits.
Sheikh was reportedly opposed by Mansoor Khan and Ejaz Farooqi, both of whom refused to visit foreign countries at the expense of the board. However, after the approval, members of the BOG, along with their spouses, will now receive business class air tickets and stays in five star hotels, with a daily allowance included as well.

On the other hand, the BOG refused another proposal on monthly allowances for its members. Sources confirmed to the Daily Express that the proposal for monthly allowances was shelved after opposition from member Mansoor Khan.
Another proposal regarding a special fund to send members of the National Assembly on foreign tours was left to be decided in the next meeting.
