Riki Wessels and captain Mahmudullah were the top-scorers for Khulna with 32 runs each.
When Khulna came out to defend the meagre total, Junaid instantly proved to be a force to be reckoned with and dismissed Nurul Hasan (4) LBW in the second over.

In the fourth over, the 26-year-old then claimed two wickets on consecutive balls to bring his team back in the game. Sabbir Rehman was bowled on four runs while Junaid’s compatriot Umar Akmal was caught behind on the very first ball he faced for a naught.
Later, in the penultimate over, with only 13 runs required off 12 balls, Junaid accounted for Farhad Raza who was caught at short cover by Mahmudullah.
