Crashing down: Three sisters killed as roof collapses in Galiyat

ABBOTTABAD: Three girls were killed when the roof of their house collapsed over them in the remote village of Galiyat.

Donga Gali police on Tuesday said that Shabbir’s three daughters were sleeping in their room when its roof caved in at around 11 pm on Monday.

Locals managed to pull the three victims from the rubble in critical condition.

They were rushed to the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Teaching Hospital in Rawalpindi, but they could not make it in time.

The deceased were later identified as Aeyza Bibi 16, Faiza Bibi 12, and Muqadas Bibi 10. Police said witnesses described the house as dilapidated.

While the three girls perished, other members of the family remained unhurt since they were in different rooms of the house.
