NEW DELHI: The public’s sudden interest in her personal and professional lives, following the success of Cocktail, came as a surprise to Diana Penty, who says it took her a while to get used to constant public scrutiny.

The actor, who was last seen on the silver screen in Happy Bhag Jayegi after a gap of four years, said now she has reached a level where she is comfortable being under the spotlight.

“It took me a while after Cocktail as I was not expecting or prepared for it. So it took me a while. But now, I think I have reached a stage where I am comfortable in this space. I know how to handle it,” Diana said, in a recent interview.

According to Diana, she understands that there will always be things which affect her. And so, she has learnt to take it all with a pinch of salt. “There is always going to be one part where you will get affected and that is only normal and natural. Being a human, you are going to be sensitive to certain things,” she explained. “But you need to learn how to draw the line and say ‘Yes, it will bother me but I have to snap out of it’.”

After modelling, Diana ventured into Bollywood with Cocktail which also featured Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone back in 2012. However, she maintained her distance from the big screen after the blockbuster debut. After Happy Bhag Jayegi, Diana is going through several scripts and said it will not take another four years for her to be back on the silver screen.
