RAWALPINDI: City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi has punished policemen for dereliction of duty. According to a police spokesman, Inspector Saleem was demoted to sub inspector, and Sub Inspector Muhammad Yaqoob and Sub Inspector Israr to the rank of assistant sub inspector (ASI). Meanwhile, ASI Babar and Constable Ameer Sultan were dismissed from service, and Recruit Constable Waqas was discharged from service.
