Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation (ACF), an organisation working for the well-being of animals, received a call from their water-tanker man, requesting to come and rescue the pet.
The canine had a wound, which was worsening by the day, and the area dwellers thought it was best to shoot the pet dog.

"Our tanker guy begged them to put down their guns as he knew a place that helped animals,” said the organisation’s Facebook post, adding that the pet was being treated.
“It's a very deep and old maggot wound, and the dog hasn't eaten or had water in days. Very low body temperature as well. Vets are currently treating him."
