ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force, Rawalpindi, on Wednesday arrested six people at Benazir International Airport in separate cases of drug smuggling.

According to a statement, ANF Rawalpindi arrested a British national travelling to UK for possessing 1.5 kilogrammes of hashish. Another Briton  going to UK was detained for carrying 200 grammes of hashish.

Separately, a Zambian woman, who landed in Islamabad via a flight from Abidjan,  Ivory Coast,  was held for possessing 60 grammes of cocaine.

In an information based operation, ANF seized 4.375 kilogramme of heroin from the toilet of a Doha bound Qatar Airlines plane. The force arrested a suspect travelling on the flight.

Meanwhile, a Riyadh bound passenger was arrested for carrying 1.48Kg amphetamines in his trolley bag. A passenger travelling to Dubai was caught with 200 grammes of hashish concealed in his bag.
