LUMS and Harvard Business Publishing enter into partnership

Starting fall 2017, students and faculty around the world will be able to access cases from LUMS SDSB

Harvard Business Publishing has approved the distribution of Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) case which will now be available on Harvard’s website. Starting fall 2017, students and faculty around the world will be able to access cases from LUMS SDSB alongside cases from HBP.

This comes as a major achievement for the Case Research Centre and SBSB faculty at LUMS as the cases will now be able to students across the globe putting the university on the international case map.

Expressing joy over the achievement, Jawad Syed, PhD, Academic FCIPD, Dean & Professor of Organisational Behaviour at SDSB said, “I take this opportunity to thank SDSB faculty, Dr. Junaid Ashraf, Dr. Ehsan ul Haque, Dr. Arif Nazir Butt, Dr. Kamran Chatha, Dr. Saad Azmat and other colleagues who supported this initiative. Most importantly, thanks are due to all those faculty members who wrote these high quality cases.”


SDBP cases underwent an extensive review process which were evaluated by Harvard Business Publishing for their content, language and format before being approved. HBP partnerships include prestigious institutions from around the world such as Stanford, Babson, Wharton, IMD and Princeton.

The achievement highlights the importance LUMS gives to teaching quality, applied scholarship and international partnership, said Dr Syed.

“The next step is to continue to produce high quality cases of local relevance and international significance on a regular basis, incorporate and use them in our academic and executive programmes, and reduce our reliance on foreign subscriptions,” Dr. Syed further elaborated.
