Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Monday served Rs1 billion legal notice on PTI information secretary Naeem Ul Haq for accusing her of leaking the news regarding a high-level meeting between the top civil and military leadership.
Haq had alleged that Maryam Nawaz was the main character behind the story.
The notice read that the accusation has been broadcast on different news channels. It said that the accusation against Maryam is defamatory, false, scandalous, mala fide, untrue and without any evidence. Maryam, through her legal notice, asked the PTI leader to tender unconditional apology and withdraw the accusation.
