However, it has rejected any possibility of governor rule being imposed in the K-P.
“In his speeches, Khattak is provoking public to stand up against the federation and that too for no reason since what they [PTI] are protesting against has already been taken up by the court of law,” the PML-N’s parliamentary leader in K-P Assembly Sardar Aurangzeb Nalota told The Express Tribune. Nalota said PTI’s protests were like furthering the enemies’ agenda since the United States and India, according to him, were not ready to accept the 46 billion dollar Chinese investment in Pakistan under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
He said Khattak was paving way for governor’s rule after completely failing to deliver during the last three years (of his rule in the province). However, he denied its possibility adding: “Not at all, I know my leadership and they will never allow governor rule in K-P.”
Besides PML-N, other parties in the K-P legislature – including the ANP, JUI-F and JI– have also expressed their resolve to not accept at any cost any attempt to derail democracy.
“I know that it [governor rule] will sweep away the PTI government but even then, we will never accept it since we believe in democracy,” JUI-F MPA Mufti Fazal Ghaffur said.
