While speaking to the media at Directorate General of Public Relations Punjab on Sunday, Provincial Government Spokesperson Zaeem Qadri said Imran Khan was asking his workers to resort to violence. “Arms have been recovered from the vehicle of a PTI provincial minister.
This shows that they [PTI] are not coming to protest, rather they are coming to occupy Islamabad which the government will not allow to happen,” he said.
“Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister is issuing threats after weapons were confiscated from one of his ministers. Nobody will be allowed to fail the state or occupy its offices,” he added.
Commenting on Awami Pakistan Muslim League chairperson Shaikh Rasheed Ahmad, Zaeem said the government would keep him on the run. He accused PTI of collecting arms in Islamabad to create law and order situation. He said Khan was acting like head of a terrorist group. He said the government would not allow him to create any mess.
CM meets PML-N workers
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif met with a delegation of PML-N workers on Sunday. On the occasion, the CM said those resorting to sit-ins were enemy of the state and its development. He said under China-Pak Economic Corridor, Rs36 billion were being spent on energy projects. He said these projects were underway in all four provinces of Pakistan.
Shahbaz maintained that a conspiracy was being hatched against Pakistan in the form of sit-ins. He said people had already rejected the defeated elements but PTI always refused to accept people’s verdict.
