Ten Afghan nationals arrested in Quetta

QUETTA: FC troops and police arrested 10 Afghan nationals from the Pashtoonabad area of Quetta in a combing operation on Saturday.

According to the FC spokesman, during the joint operation one Kalashnikov assault rifle and two pistols were also seized from the detained Afghans.

In a separate operation, the security forces seized three IEDs and mortar rounds in the Hoki Nullah in Dalbandin area of the restive province. No arrest was made though in connection to the raid.

Elsewhere, security forces also foiled terror bid by defusing two land mines in Dera Bugti. According to details shared with The Express Tribune,  ‘terrorists’ had planted two land mines along the Sui Road to target security forces. After receiving information about the land mines the security forces reached the site and defused the mines. A search operation has been initiated to apprehend the accused.

Separately a body was found in the Baghao area of Barkhan district on Saturday. According to details, Manzoor disappeared two days ago along with his motorcycle from Tang Karez area of Baghao.  The residents of the area started an attempt to find his whereabouts. During their search attempt Manzoor’s body was found dumped in a dry well along with his motorcycle.

On information Naib Tehsildar reached the scene and shifted the corpse to the civil hospital in Barkhan. However, the cause of manzoor’s killing death could not be determined.
