Festival of lights: No load-shedding on Diwali, says MNA

KARACHI: On behalf of the federal government, there will be no load-shedding in the Hindu-majority districts of Sindh, including Tharparkar, Thatta, and Badin on Diwali. This was announced by Pakistan Hindu Council patron-in-chief and MNA Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani on Friday. Talking to a local Hindu delegation, Dr Vankwani also assured relief to other parts to some extent. “Our government is committed to overcoming the ongoing energy crisis,” he said.
