Seven member delegation: Iranian delegation meets CJP

ISLAMABAD:
A seven-member Iranian delegation headed by Iranian Attorney General called on the Chief Justice of Pakistan at the Supreme Court. The CJP Anwar Zaheer Jamali welcomed the Iranian Attorney General Seyyed Muhammad Jafar Montazeri and discussed issues of mutual interest. The CJP said that both countries should share experiences and knowledge in different fields, and also asked them to enhance cooperation between the judiciaries of the two countries. Montazeri requested the CJP to take steps in releasing the Iranians in Pakistani jails. They also extended an invitation to the CJP to visit Iran.
