Safe City Project nearing completion

Modern training was being imparted to the staff which was recruited on merit basis, says LSCP official

LAHORE: Work is being carried out speedily and in a professional manner on Lahore Safe City Project (LSCP), according to a senior official of the LSCP.  He said security cameras, poles and other modern gadgets were being installed in different parts of the city in an efficient way.

“Successful implementation of the project would pave the way for initiating the same project in other big cities of the province,” he said. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has already approved different steps in regards to Safe City Project in five other big cities of Punjab.

He said the Safe City project is an important step towards making Punjab a safe, prosperous and peaceful province.  “The implementation of the project will help eliminate crime and maintain peace,” he added.

The official said the Punjab government attached great importance to the protection of life and property of the citizens.

He said maximum resources were being provided for setting up of a crime-free society. He said modern training was being imparted to the staff which was recruited on merit basis for the implementation and future handling of the project.
