
After Karan Johar's statement of not working with Pakistani talent, the MNS has rejected his claims and are still headstrong to boycott the movie.

Given the country's sentiments, Karan released a video statement and said, "Going forward I would like to say that of course I will not engage with talent from the neighbouring country given the circumstance. But with that same energym I beseech you to know one thing. That over 300 Indian people in my crew have put their blood, sweat and tears into my film ADHM and I don’t think it is fair to them to face any kind of turbulence out of other fellow Indians."

The MNS, however, rejected his plea and said their stance against the movie's release had not changed. The President of MNS told The Indian Express that they were "firm on our stand" and will not allow the release of the film."

Earlier, the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association had banned Pakistani actors and technicians from working on projects in India. In September, the MNS gave the Pakistani workers an ultimatum to leave the country within 48 hours.
