With the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) calling for a ban on Pakistani actors in the wake of the Uri attack, it was speculated that the makers of Pakistani actor Saba Qamar starrer Hindi Medium will delay the film’s release.
However, Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan's spokesperson has confirmed that the film will release on schedule, Gulf News reported.

"Irrfan is currently putting all his efforts and focus on his next [films] with Tanuja Chandra and Homi Adajania. As for the question of any of his films being stalled is not true. He has wrapped up shooting for all his films with no pending schedules left for any,” the source revealed.
Saket Chaudhary’s Hindi Medium is based on the life of a middle-class family in Chandni Chowk, Delhi. Saba is playing the role of Irrfan's wife.
The film is set to release next year.
