Police arrest seven 'most wanted terrorists' in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalpur police on Friday arrested seven most wanted terrorists said to be involved in suicide attacks and bomb blasts across the country.

Riaz, Ghulam Ahmed and four other alleged terrorists were arrested from different areas of Bahawalpur, while another suspect, Asghar, was arrested from Bhawalnagar.

The names of Riaz, Ghulam Ahmed and Asghar appear in the Red Book, a list of terrorists wanted by security forces. The identities of the other terrorists have not been revealed by the police.

According to sources, the arrested men are believed to have been involved in attacks in Karachi, Bahawalpur and other areas.

The men were later shifted to Lahore.
