Statement Of Assets And Liabilities: ECP offices to remain open for MPs
Warned that membership of the MPs could be suspended if they fail to submit their account details by Saturday evening

The ECP on Friday asked the parliamentarians to submit the details of annual statement of assets and liabilities of themselves, spouses and dependents for the year 2015-16 by October 15 (Today). Talking to the media, Additional Secretary ECP Fida Muhammad said the commission’s relevant offices would remain open on Saturday to enable the parliamentarians to submit their annual accounts and liabilities’ statement. He warned that the membership of the MPs could be suspended if they fail to submit their account details by Saturday evening. Responding to a question, he said submission of assets and liabilities’ details is a mandatory requirement under Section 42A of the Representation of the People’s Act 1976 and Section 25A of the Senate (Elections) Act 1975.
