A few days later, police were able to use his fingerprints to establish his identity as Muhammad Aslam, a father of five children with the youngest just a few weeks old. He used to work at the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
A homicide investigation team of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) scrutinised Aslam’s mobile phone records while further investigations revealed that he had allegedly been killed by his wife Bushra, with the help of her paramour Mudassar Abbas.
Police officials said that Bushra first called Aslam out of their house where he was ambushed by her and Abbas, who used concrete blocks to bludgeon him to death.
