ABBOTTABAD: Like in other parts of the country, Ashura processions in different parts of Hazara concluded peacefully amid tight security.

Processions were taken out from various imambargahs such as the central Imambargah, in Mansehra, Imambargah Paras in Kaghan, Imambargah Imam Mehdi in Abbottabad and Imambargah Mankraey in Haripur. They culminated at their designated points.

Cellular services were suspended for the duration of the day also. The entry and exit points and the link roads leading to the routes of processions were completely sealed.

The law enforcing agencies placed walk-through gates at the entry points of processions and imambargahs.

To avoid security lapses, sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squads cleared the procession routes. Afghan refugees was also restricted to their camps on this day.
