MANSEHRA: A woman has accused her brother in law of getting her divorced from his brother and depriving her of three children and dowry.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Amraizan Bibi said that she was married to Muhammad Manzoor of village Brairi and they have four children. Two days back her brother-in-law Qayum, a serving head constable in the police department, had an altercation with her over some minor family issue.

She said that in a fit of rage the head constable forced her husband Manzoor to divorce her without further delay who did so.

Qayum is quite an influential man in the small village, Amraizan Bibi said flanked by her two brothers. Not only did Qayum force her husband to leave her, but also snatched her three minor children, though she was allowed to take the fourth one, who is only seven months old.

Bibi also accused the policeman of getting her thumb impression on the stamp papers declaring that she had voluntarily abandoned her right over the dowry she had brought from her home, her haq mehr and the alimony her husband has to pay.

Bibi said that she will file appeal in the court against policeman and her husband for her rights and children.
