KARACHI: The Italian Trade Commission has reopened its office in Pakistan after a hiatus of three years, a development that has been appreciated by the country’s business community as well as its Italian counterpart.

“The re-opening of our Trade Agency Office in Karachi is an essential part of our strategy in launching Italy’s ties with Pakistan, testified by the visit of Trade Agency’s Chairman Dr Riccardo Monti last year and by two leading members of the Italian government, the foreign minister and defence minister, this year,” stated Italian Ambassador Dr Stefano Pontecorvo.
