HARIPUR: Two men allegedly gang raped a school boy in a remote village of Khanpur, police said on Sunday. According to police, Sher*, student of grade 10 and a resident of Karwali village, was returning home from school on Saturday when Fazal Pathan and Khurram waylaid him, dragged him into a house and allegedly sodomised him. Sher* told the police that the alleged rapists tried to call some of their friends but he managed to escape. He made it to the village mosque and informed his father about what had happened. His father immediately took him to the Khanpur police station and lodged an FIR. However, police said that a medical report of the victim showed that the suspects had only attempted to rape the boy. Sher’s family, though, has accused police and doctors of colluding with the accused caliming that the suspects were using their influence to affect the case.
