Good story and some very powerful performances by Shamim Ara and Mustafa Qureshi. Nisar Bazmi gave this film some of his best tunes.

2. Andaleeb (1969)



Director: Fareed Ahmed

This film has the best story, best music, best photography, best acting and best direction. In short, everything is top notch.

3. Khuda Kay Liye (2007)



Director: Shoaib Mansoor

Khuda Kay Liye had the best story that was very well executed.

4. Aan (1952)



Director: Mehboob Khan

Watch this film for Dilip Kumar’s acting and some beautiful music.

5. Love Story (1970)



Director: Arthur Hiller

Love Story has a touchy storyline with a remarkable performance by Ryan O’Neal.

6. Titanic (1997)

This film is superb in every single department.

7. Birdman (2014)



Director: Alejandro González Iñárritu

Birdman is amazing from every angle possible. I especially admire Iñárritu’s style of storytelling.

8. The Revenant (2015)



Director: Alejandro González Iñárritu

The Revenant is among Leonardo DiCaprio’s most powerful performances, coupled with extremely good direction and photography.

9.  A Clockwork Orange (1971)



Director: Stanley Kubrick

A Clockwork Orange is Stanley Kubrick at his finest. It has a different kind of a story told masterfully by a great director.

10. The Godfather (1972)



Director: Francis Ford Coppola

The Godfather is my all-time favourite movie and that I have seen it over a dozen times. Francis Ford Coppola’s grip on the whole film, from story to music, screenplay to art direction and cinematography to costumes, is breathtaking. Marlon Brando’s performance as Vito Corleone is unforgettable.
