Speech operation: Three militants killed, five arrested in Balochistan

Recovered weapons, ammunition, three pistols and anti-state literature from their possession

QUETTA: Three militants were killed and five others were arrested in a search operation in the Naag area of Kech District on Wednesday.

Frontier Corps Balochistan Spokesman Khan Wasseh said Frontier Corps and an intelligence agency carried out a search operation in Naag area.

“Three militants were killed in exchange of fire and five others were arrested with weapons,” FC Spokesman said and added that two hideouts of militants were destroyed in the operation.

The FC recovered one IED and hate material from their custody.

The FC spokesman claimed that the militants were involved in attacks on the security forces. The arrested militants were shifted to an unknown location for investigation.

Meanwhile, 26 suspects, including seven militants, were arrested from the Gurkop area of Kech district in a search operation on Wednesday.

According to FC Spokesman, Frontier Corps along with the law enforcement agencies launched a search operation in Gurkop and arrested 26 persons and recovered weapons, ammunition, two small machine guns, two rifles, three pistols, communication equipment and anti-state literature from their possession
