Official visit: NATO commander meets CJCSC

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Military Committee Nato General Petr Pavel called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Rashad Mahmood at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday. Pavel is currently on an official visit to Pakistan. According to an ISPR Press release during the meeting, matters of mutual interest with an emphasis on the geo-strategic situation and security challenges came under discussion. The Nato general lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war against terrorism. Upon arrival at Joint Staff Headquarters, the Pavel was presented with a guard of honour by a contingent of the tri-services.
