Harnessing energy: MoU signed to protect environment 

The university students will also benefit from MoU as they will participate and gain experience

RAWALPINDI: To harness energy from solid waste and to clean the environment, Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi. Under the MoU both parties will mutually cooperate and collaborate for the benefit of the society by providing clean environment, alternative energy resources and organic fertilizer. The university students will also benefit from MoU as they will participate and gain experience through working with the RWMC. Both parties also agreed to develop specific projects for seeking funds from donor agencies to achieve their objectives. On the occasion, Prof Dr Rai Niaz Ahmad briefed the chief guest about the aims and objectives of  the establishment of this station. He said that this center would also act as a learning center to create awareness about the positive environment impact of the solid waste treatment facility in the country.
