HARIPUR: The burnt body of a teenage boy was  found in a graveyard of Khalabat Town, Haripur on Tuesday. According to details, the boy had been subjected to torture; both of his legs were cut off  and his heart and liver extracted.

However, the victim was later identified as 19-year-old Afrasiyab, son of Shahid Waseem.

His body was moved to District Headquarters Teaching Hospital Haripur where the doctors confirmed that the victim had torture marks on his body, his sensitive parts were mutilated, his nails were removed and his body was set on fire to destroy the evidence.

According to officials, the condition of the body indicated  that the assailants had first tied the victim’s hands behind his back and strangled him to death. Waseem told the police that his son had left  home on Monday evening after receiving a phone call. However, Afrasiyab never returned home while his cell phone was also switched off.
