Rights abuses: Delhi’s warmongering condemnable, says Masood
AJK president urges international community to stop Indian aggression
ISLAMABAD:
President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Masood Khan on Sunday said that India was warmongering which is irresponsible and condemnable and urged the international community to intervene to stop Indian aggression and human rights violation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
Addressing a press conference at the Kashmir House, Khan emphasised that India must be held accountable for its actions and made to pay a price for its crimes against humanity.
The AJK president said that by whipping up the Uri attack and violations at LoC, India was trying to divert attention from its atrocities and added that it now wanted to target Azad Kashmir which was unacceptable.
Khan offered condolences to the aggrieved families of the martyred soldiers and praised the armed forces. “We pay tribute to the valiant armed forces of Pakistan, which repulsed the attack and exposed the claims of Indian farces about surgical strikes along LoC”.
“The heroic and brave people of Azad Kashmir liberated their land in 1947-1948 called a land of shaheeds and ghazis and we warn India not to desecrate repeatedly through its naked aggression,” he added.
The president hailed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech at the United Nation General Assembly and added that the premier projected the legitimate aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially their right to self-determination.
The former envoy added that Pakistan took the right steps to mobilize the international community and activate the role of the office of the UN Secretary General and the Security Council.
