BAHAWALPUR: The Punjab government will spend around Rs9.227 billion on modernising livestock farming with an aim to help farmers in 36 districts, said Punjab Cooperatives Minister Iqbal Channar on Saturday.

He was speaking as a chief guest at an award distribution ceremony. A four-day workshop was oganised by the Livestock Directorate Cholistan and Punjab’s Livestock and Dairy Development Authority at the livestock development farm in Cholistan.

The training sessions were designed to impart modern skills to the farmers of Cholistan, said Channar.
