Policeman shot dead as assailants attack car to free prisoners in Karachi

Attackers manage to free two prisoners from police custody

KARACHI: At least one policeman was killed and another injured when unidentified gunmen attacked their vehicle, and managed to free two target killers from their custody in Korangi area of Karachi on Friday.

Police were on their way after producing alleged target killers in an anti-terrorism court when they came under the attack.



One of the policemen died on the spot, whereas the other was immediately shifted to Jinnah Hospital where his condition was said to be critical.

Meanwhile, the law enforcers, including police and Rangers personnel have initiated a search operation in Korangi.
