Hamza Ali Abbasi calls on Pakistani actors to boycott Bollywood

As tensions between India and Pakistan escalate, actor Hamza Ali Abbasi has pitched in his two cents on the issue and urged Pakistani artistes to boycott Bollywood.

In a recent post on social media, Hamza shared his thoughts and said, " The time has come when Pakistani artists MUST BOYCOTT BOLLYWOOD and Pakistani people must stop watching Indian content."

His post also suggested that since India has been carrying out multiple atrocities on Pakistanis and Kashirmis, it was only fitting that Pakistanis take a step back and avoid watching their content.

Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan have been under fire for their roles in upcoming Bollywood films Ae dil hai mushkil and Raees. Recently, Indian nationalist party Maharashta Navnirman Sena gave Pakistani actors 48 hours to leave the country.

The question remains. Will boycotting Indian content save the situation? Hamza seems to thinks so.

Ateeq Laghari | 8 years ago | Reply Every time its India who initiates the firing at LOC but when Pakistan gives befitted reply then many of our own brothers do not like that stance from Pakistan and say Pakistan must make peace with India. Why ? Why on earth should Pakistan always beg for the peace? Peace is always made with the agreements from both sides. As the clapping cannot be made with one hand, same is the case of Peace. I ask the people who say Pakistan should make peace despite of continuously violations from India that if some people make attacks on their own homes then what will they do? Will they still cry for the peace with the attackers or they will try to give respond of stones with the bricks? I request every Pakistani to think the matters of Pakistan as their personal matters and to stand with Pakistan's Army at every step.

Just bcoz you were not asked to go to Bollywood don't try to make matters worse . We all should try to promote Peace with our neighbouring countries , solve the misunderstandings .
