KARACHI: Contract-based paramedics of the neurosurgery department at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) boycotted their duties for the sixth consecutive day on Monday.

They staged a demonstration outside the directorate office, Jinnah hospital.

The protest caused difficulties for patients coming in for CT scans, MRIs, x-rays and ultrasounds.

The United Paramedical Action Committee Chairman Gul Saeed called for the approval of a service structure for paramedics and confirmation of their jobs or they would continue to protest.
