Many of them believe the agreement of cooperation signed with World Bank on September 22 will help achieve these goals.
Speaking to journalists on Monday, Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) President Fareed Mughis Sheikh said the World Bank would provide technical assistance to the Punjab government to promote agriculture, increase per acre yield and stabilise the agricultural economy.
He added the World Bank would also extend cooperation to use modern technology for promoting agriculture on a lasting basis.
According to Sheikh, the agreement between the Punjab government and World Bank would ensure prosperity for villages. “The country will prosper if farmers are allowed to prosper,” he added.
